Kantha Scarf Deborah

39.00

These colorful Kantha scarves are one of a kind. They've originated in Bangladesh and the eastern states of India, where women stitch together layer upon layer of old saris and tossed-aside cloth scraps to create thin throws used as blankets, scarves and other items.

Each one is unique. These scarves are for those who appreciate character. They are not for the perfection-driven. While some of these have no apparent flaws, others have sewn in patches, worn spots worked around with thread, and other signs that the fabrics used have had a previous life. While each one is special and one-of-a-kind, they aren't too precious to be used well because the fabrics have already stood the test of time.
